Biography
Hyeonsu Lyu is expected to receive his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in February 2026 , under the supervision of Prof. Hyun Jong Yang. Starting in March 2026, he will join the Institute of New Media and Communications (INMC) at Seoul National University (SNU) as a Post-doctoral Researcher. He previously received his B.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2018 and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2021 , both from UNIST. During the final year of his doctoral studies, he served as a Visiting Scholar at Seoul National University (2025–2026) and was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin from August 2025 to January 2026, hosted by Prof. Kaushik Chowdhury. His research is dedicated to the full convergence of Wireless, AI, and Robotics. Specifically, his work focuses on advancing communication systems for AI-powered remote control of mobile robots and leveraging intelligent agents to evolve next-generation 6G wireless networks.
